Mississippi State has announced details of its second annual Maroon Madness, which marks the start of preseason basketball practices.
It’ll take place Oct. 12 – that’s next Friday – in downtown Starkville. There will be no basketball scrimmage, but there will be basketball. Outside. MSU will construct an outdoor court on the east end of Main Street outside Sullivan’s Office Supply, and players will participate in dunk and 3-point shooting contests. It all starts at 6 p.m. and is being held in conjunction with Pumpkinpalooza.
Also, both the men’s and women’s team will unveil their new-look uniforms, and there will be an autograph session.
There will be downtown parking, and there will also be a free shuttle from Humphrey Coliseum starting at 5 p.m.
