Blog Bag: Ask Your (Crootin’) Questions

Hey, it’s time for the Blog Bag again. I’m sure y’all have plenty of questions – probably recruiting questions. Only eight days until national signing day, and I think we can all agree that it can’t get here soon enough.

Just don’t ask me where I think a certain recruit will go, because I have no idea. Nothing is assured until that fax machine spits out a signed letter of intent on Feb. 6 (and sometimes not even then).

    What is the job description for a recruiting coordinator?

    Has there ever been talk of an early signing day for high schoolers? It would make since to have one the same day as when Juco’s can sign. Also, since the NCAA has the “best interest of the student-athletes” in mind, it would be logical.

    What happened to Cordarrly Gains of Provine? Dandy Dozen last year but seems to have slipped off the map.
    Do the coaches know how many players in each position they want or do they just recruit players regardless of position?
    How many times has Ole Miss signed the older brother of a top recruit to a scholarship? Twice in two years makes me think it was a common tool.
