STARKVILLE – Game time for Mississippi State’s Oct. 5 meeting with LSU has been set for 6 p.m. the Southeastern Conference announced this morning.

The game will be televised on one of three channels – ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. The network that does indeed carry the game will be released by Sunday afternoon at the latest.

It will be the 107th meeting between the two SEC Western Division rivals. The Tigers lead the series 70-33-3 and are also 13-6-1 in Starkville. LSU has won 13 straight in the series and 20 of the last 21 games.

The Tigers defeated MSU 37-17 in Baton Rouge last season.

LSU takes on Georgia this weekend while the Bulldogs are off with a bye.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
