Diamond Dogs sign nine on Wednesday

Mississippi State followed up its No. 2 nationally ranked recruiting class from 2013 with nine new signees for 2014 on Wednesday.

The Diamond Dogs inked the following players:

Dale Burdick, INF, 6-0, 173, R/R, Summit (Spring Hill, Tenn.)

Aaron Dominguez, RHP, 6-0, 190, R/R, Chino Hills (Chino, Calif.)

Cole Gordon, RHP/ 3B/ OF, 6-6, 230, L/R, Steinbrenner (Tampa, Fla.)

Ryan Gridley, INF, 5-9, 170, R/R, Milton (Milton, Ga.)

Jesse McCord, RHP, 6-2, 185, R/R, Spanish Fort (Spanish Fort, Ala.)

Matt Spruill, INF, 6-1, 190, R/R, Panola [Texas] Junior College (Burke, Va.)

Paxton Stover, LHP,  5-10, 185, L/L, Dyer County (Newbern, TN)

Chase Vallot, C, 6-1, 205,  R/R, St. Thomas More (Youngsville, La.)

Taylor Stafford, OF, 5-9, 175, L/L, New Hope (Columbus, Miss.)
