Mississippi State hosts Florida Gulf Coast tonight in a televised game on CSS. Many of you might know FGCU as “Dunk City” during its Sweet 16 run as a 15-seed during last year’s NCAA Tournament. With school being out, the crowd numbers are very slim tonight. Both Roquez Johnson and Craig Sword are warming up after leaving Tuesday’s game with injuries. Former JUCO signee Travis Daniels is on the court right now in a maroon MSU adidas warm-up rebounding during warm-ups.

Former Bulldog Horatio Webster is in the house tonight. He’s the father of 2015 five-star standout Malik Newman.

There’s a ref tonight that’s well past his prime. It might be time to hang up the whistle.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
