Mississippi State lost one of the top prospects in its 2015 recruiting class thus far as four-star defensive tackle T.D. Moton de-committed Friday afternoon.

Moton (@tdmoton_) tweeted “I have decommited from MSU .. I have to evaluate my options ..”

The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder from Shreveport, La., had been committed to the Bulldogs since Nov. 16.

Moton already has 16 scholarship offers from some of the nation’s premier programs. He was ineligible to play this past season at Woodlawn High School due to transfer rules and is the nation’s No. 17 defensive tackle and 205th prospect overall in 2015 according to Rivals.com.

The loss of Moton leaves MSU with five commitments for 2015.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
