Bulldogs add in-state cornerback

Mississippi State’s 2015 recruiting class continues to grow.

Tuesday the Bulldogs added their eighth commitment when Warren Central cornerback Chris Stamps pledged his services to play for Dan Mullen at MSU.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder earned his State offer on Saturday while attending the Bulldogs junior day. Stamps also had an early offer from Louisiana Tech.

Stamps becomes Mississippi State’s third commitment in the last four days. As a junior last season, he had five interceptions and 10 pass break-ups.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
