Live from Dudy Noble Field

I just arrived at the ballpark on a pretty afternoon here in Starkville. We’ve got a twinbill ahead with Mississippi State first facing Eastern Illinois and then Michigan State. The men’s basketball team is playing on SEC-TV right now against Missouri. Craig Sword is not there due to attending his grandmother’s funeral in Alabama. I.J. Ready is also questionable with a knee injury. As for baseball, the Bulldogs are clad in maroon hats, their ugly Astros jerseys and white pants with maroon pinstripes while EIU is wearing blue hats and grey uniforms.
