It’s a great evening for baseball weather-wise here at the ball park tonight. It’s Mississippi State’s first Thursday game of the season with the ESPNU broadcast tonight against Texas A&M. The Bulldogs are wearing maroon hats and cream uniforms while the Aggies are clad in maroon hats and jerseys with grey pants. It’s a small crowd so far but we will see if it fills in as first pitch approaches.

Collins gets the scoring going with a single in the left-center gap plating Heck and Detz, 2 RBI. In the last eight games, Collins is 11-for-25 with nine RBI.

Armstrong walked to load the bases.

A wild pitch allows Collins to score. Bradford and Armstrong move into scoring position.

Tonight’s game has been postponed. It will resume at 5 p.m. tomorrow prior to Game 2 at 6:30 p.m.

MSU will wear maroon hats, maroon “MS” jerseys and white pants for Friday’s game while the Aggies are wearing maroon hats and grey uniforms.
