Mississippi State senior Jameon Lewis has been added to the initial watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, awarded annually to the top receiver in college football.

Lewis led the Bulldogs with 64 catches for 923 yards and five touchdowns last season and was named the most outstanding offensive player of the Liberty Bowl setting a school single-game record with 220 receiving yards.

The 5-foot-9, 183-pound native of Tylertown has appeared in 39 games during his career and has compiled 2,819 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns.

Lewis was previously picked for the Hornung Award watch list last week.

The Biletnikoff Award is named for former Florida State and Oakland Raiders receiver Fred Biletnikoff.

55 receivers were recognized on the Biletnikoff Award watch list and will be cut to semifinalists on Nov. 17. The list will be narrowed further to three finalists on Nov. 24.

The award will be presented on Dec. 11 as part of The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN.
