Dan Mullen has made headlines in the last few weeks with his 2015 recruiting class ranked 11th in the country.
With the addition of three-star shooting guard Quinndary Weatherspoon on Wednesday, so is Rick Ray’s 2015 basketball class.
Weatherspoon became Mississippi State’s third commitment in the class joining point guard Tookie Brown and center Joseph Strugg.
The 6-foot-5, 170-pounder from Canton averaged 16.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.3 assists at Velma Jackson as a junior. Weatherspoon is rated as the No. 2 prospect in Mississippi and a Top247 talent by 247Sports.com.
Weatherspoon chose the Bulldogs over offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky.
