Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a foot injury during practice earlier this week but will play this weekend according to coach Dan Mullen.

Mike Bonner of the Clarion Ledger confirmed Prescott’s injury with Mullen, who contends his junior signal caller is healthy and will see action Saturday against UAB.

Prescott was not made available for the media following practice on Tuesday or Wednesday despite requests. He missed most of spring practice in 2013 while recovering from toe surgery on his left foot.

Prescott set personal bests with 284 yards passing and four touchdowns in the opener against Southern Miss last week.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
